Retail Summit brought the top retailers together

The Retail Summit, organized by Turkish Retailers Federation (TPF) and hosted by PERDER Bursa Branch, was held in Bursa. Nationally sponsored also by Üçge A.Ş., one of the most prominent suppliers of retail industry, the Retail Summit was marked by the Legal Draft for Retail. Retailers assembled in a program in Uludağ after the summit in an entertainment to have a rest after the conference.

Retailers demand prompt enactment
The Former Chairman of Bursa PERDER Haşim Kılıç delivered the opening speech of the Retail Summit and pointing out to the Draft for the Regulation of Retail Trade, Kılıç especially highlighted the problems of local retailers. Also expressing opinion on the subject, TPF Chairman Selamet Aygün also noted that the law should be enacted promptly, and if otherwise, the growth of the sector would be affected negatively. Aygün spoke as follows: “This law will especially ensure the preparation of strategic plans, the assessment of retail points according to the needs of the regions, the starting up of businesses according to needs. For qualified staff, the jobs and working hours should be regulated. A significant step will be taken if Sunday is accepted as holiday”.

Retail Academy Will Be Activated in 2014
Giving a brief on the structure of the federation, Selamet Aygün also said, with regards to the Retail Academy that will be activated in 2014, “the Retail Academy will mark the new year”. Aygün noted that the Federation and Boğaziçi University initiated a multi-facade study and that they will be starting with the greatest education mobilization of Turkish Retail Federation.

The Wind of Üçge in the Summit
Among the national sponsors of the Retail Summit, Üçge A.Ş. made its visitors have enjoyable moments with the activities in the lounge and Uludağ event. Üçge took souvenir photos with the giant market cart at the lounge area and became the focus of attention with the puzzle games it delivered, the surprise gifts sent to hotel rooms and the ski market cart prepared for the event in Uludağ.
